• If this is your first time visiting the community, every user must register with a unique email address.
  • If you are sharing a computer to register, please make sure to log out before starting the next person's registration.
  • If you are registering for a specific Global Village or Habitat and Thrivent Worldwide program, you must use the link provided by your team leader. Contact gv@habitat.org for additional assistance.
  • To access your account, click on the arrow in the top right corner of the navigation menu and select My Account
  • Here you can update your account information, privacy, notification or subscription settings. 
  • To edit your notifications settings, go to your My Account page and click on the Notification tab.
  • Use the available check boxes to select or deselect notifications. 
  • To unsubscribe from all notifications, check the box at the bottom of the list.
  • When done, click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
  • To edit your primary account subscriptions, go to your My Account page and click on the Subscriptions tab.
  • Use the available options to select the frequency of each subscription (instant, daily, weekly, none).
  • When done, click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
  • If you are a member of a group, group subscriptions can be edited by clicking the group's subscription link at the bottom of the page. 
  • You can control who can see your location and Habitat info on your profile by navigating to your My Account page and clicking on the Privacy tab.
  • By checking Friends, only friends you approve will see your photos or videos on hashtag. Selecting Nobody allows only Habitat personnel and the website administrator access to your profile information for administrative purposes.
  • If you do not select your privacy setting, the default setting will be Nobody for each field.
  • Community members who are minors will be restricted to privacy settings that nobody can view. 
  • To be sure you continue sharing with who you want, we recommend regularly checking the audience for your profile information.
  • Your profile can be accessed two ways. If you click on your picture in the navigation menu you will be taken to your profile. You can also access your profile from your account settings (My Account) page by clicking Go to my profile.
  • Click Edit Profile under "User Actions" on your profile and select the tab for the information you wish to update.
  • Click "Save" at the bottom of the tab once you're finished updating. 
  • To upload a profile picture, click on the camera icon in the left corner of on your profile cover photo on your profile and select 'Add Profile Photo' to upload your photo. The recommended size for your profile photo is around 500 x 500, or any square image.
  • Not ready to upload a photo of yourself? Browse and select from our avatar menu.
  • To upload a custom profile cover photo (banner), click on the camera icon in the left corner on your profile; select 'Add Profile Cover Photo' to upload your photo. The recommended size for this cover photo is around 1400 x 350, or a 3:1 ratio
